Student support and guidance play a vital role in school life. We have a team of experienced staff who are well-equipped to offer a wide range of information, advice, and guidance. Our goal is to ensure that students not only achieve their academic potential but also grow into articulate, confident, and determined young individuals.
At Brigshaw, you belong to a Year Team and a Form Group, which provides the framework for your pastoral care within our school.
Every day, you will have dedicated time for form sessions. These sessions offer pastoral care, guidance, and support to help you become happy and successful learners, ready and prepared for life in modern Britain.
Your form tutor is here to support you each day. You will meet with your form group every morning, and your tutor will be available to provide any help and guidance you may need. If you have any questions or need advice, your form tutor will be on hand each day to assist you.
Your Year Group team is here to support you throughout your time at Brigshaw High School. They are dedicated to supporting, guiding, caring for, and challenging you so that you can be the very best version of yourself.
A Director of Year leads your Year Team. They have overall responsibility for your personal, social, and academic development. Their role is to ensure that you are happy, safe, and successful in school. If you have any concerns about your studies or need further support, they will be available to provide you with the necessary guidance.
Your Director of Year is assisted by a Head of Year, a non-teaching staff member always available to deal with day-to-day incidents and provide support. They are also here to ensure your happiness, safety, and success in school. If you have any concerns or worries, they are here to help.
