Inclusion

Inclusion.jpg

We are an ‘inclusive’ school and we try to adapt our provision to meet the needs of individual pupils, as far as our expertise, resources and facilities allow. All pupils may require additional support and specialist guidance at some time in their school lives and we are very proud of the reputation we have built up over recent years for the quality of care in this area.

As a resourced school for pupils with physical disabilities, our accommodation has full disabled access including lifts in our Silkstone and De Lacy buildings.

We cater for pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities which can often be quite profound. Teachers use various strategies to support pupils with severe or moderate learning difficulties and pupils have Individual Learning Plans, which are regularly reviewed by school staff, parents/carers and pupils to ensure appropriate provision.

For more information please see our prospectus supplement, Inclusion and SEN policies or contact our Inclusion Co-ordinator, Carol Edwards.
