Brilliant in Boulogne

Forty Year 7 pupils travelled to Boulogne and enjoyed an incredible Immersion weekend.

They visited Nausicaa - Centre National de la Mer and saw many different species of fish and marine life; explored Boulogne’s Old Town and had lots of fun at the popular French theme park, Le Parc Bagatelle.

One of the many highlights of the weekend was a trip Chocolats de Beussent, chocolaterie, where fine chocolate is made. It was fascinating to watch the chocolates being made and the smell was simply gorgeous. Everyone got the chance to sample the chocolate which was delicious!

It was a non-stop weekend and the evenings were packed full of fun activities so that pupils could get to know each other better. They took part in quiz night and showcased their terrific talents in a special talent show.

We had a fantastic time learning more about French culture, seeing the sights and even practising some  French.
